“Bag of Sun is the moniker of Arthur Pauwelyn, who independently produced his debut EP titled ‘The Blue-Haired Girl & The Pyromancer.’ With its often psychedelic lyrics, the EP delves into themes of failed romance, embracing misfit identities, and a profound affection for the tranquil monotony of coastal life.
Following his debut, Pauwelyn released his second EP, ‘Parasol,’ which exudes a laid-back, slacker vibe. Drawing inspiration from nostalgic memories spent lounging by faded tropical-themed swimming pools and lazy summers glued to MTV, ‘Parasol’ captures a unique blend of dreamy introspection and sun-soaked nostalgia.
Influenced by bands like Yo La Tengo, Bag of Sun thrives as a dynamic three-piece ensemble during live performances. Their sets effortlessly adapt to different atmospheres and moods, ranging from intimate and contemplative to energetic and unrestrained, ensuring each experience remains engaging and invigorating.”
